Wooden tools made from local timber are rarely found on archaeological sites in Egypt. Numerous objects of this type, related to stoneworking, were collected, classified, and documented during Polish excavations in the Temple of Thutmose III (Deir el-Bahari, Upper Egypt). These tools provide evidence of the final stage in the long history of the temple site at Deir el-Bahari, spanning from the late Ramesside Period to the Late Period, when the temple had already fallen into ruins and was transformed into a quarry.
