Abstrakt
The aim of this article is to examine the funerary monument of Puimra, Second Priest of Amun, from an architectural perspective. However, the monument known as TT 39 in Egyptological literature is not a tomb; it is a complex that includes a temple and several tombs. The structure, excavated in the rock, is inscribed with a specific name in hieroglyphic characters: Temple of Millions (of Years). As such, it should be treated accordingly. While it is true that the rock-cut complex called TT 39 contains the tomb of Puimra, there are also several other funerary shafts leading to additional tombs. This study of TT 39, from an archaeo-architectural standpoint, describes some of the insights gained during the intervention of the Mexican Egyptological Mission in the hemi-speos of Puimra.
